Lace Romper Pre-order

The long awaited lace rompers are about to be released.  Stock is very limited and they sell out quickly.  I thought I would give all you awesome fans a chance to snag one before they are listed in my etsy shop.  Here are the guidelines of this pre-order.

Ruby Blue lace rompers are the best quality of rompers you will find.  They are made with love from yards and yards of high quality lace, and the shell is made from a cotton/ poly blend that is stretchy and breathable (not like the cheap immitation ones that have a shell made from a thin unstretchable polyester.)  They have a nice double faced satin strap, over exaggerated in size, with a nice heavy drape.  The ends of the halter ribbon are heat sealed to prevent fraying.  Newborn size can also fit your little girls favorite doll:)  (*Romers can be made without the satin strap for $28 by request).

- HOW TO BUY:  Simply leave a comment on the picture in my LACE ROMPER PRE-ORDER almbum on my facebook page with your name and paypal address, along with a note requesting matching hair piece (if you want one).

- Romper is not reserved until payment is sent.  There will be no holds.

- Rompers will be available in 4-6 weeks.

- Five or less available of each size/ design.

- There will be two new sets introduced to the line up.  4th of july themed set, and a royal blue and light pink set.  If you would like to reserve either of these combos, leave a comment with your email address and I will contact you. (At this time, I don't have pics of either set.)

-  Each set has a matching headband/ hair piece which is sold seperately.  If interested in these matching accessories, please leave a note in your request.

-Rompers come in the following sizes;
NEWBORN (0-12m)
SMALL (6 months-2 years)
MEDIUM (2 - 3 years)
LARGE (3-4 years, but can go up to 5 years depending on childs size)

-There will be no refunds on pre-orders so if you have any questions please ask before placing your order.

THANK YOU!!!

DiFfErEnT is GOOD :)

That's right.  I get bored with the same ole, same ole.  Don't you?  Here are few changes you are going to see in the up-coming months;

1.  My etsy shop {www.etsy.com/shop/rubyblueinc} will be filled with darling pieces from my BOUTIQUE collection.  "What is your boutique collection" you might ask?  The boutique collection are the pieces that are readily available, ready to ship, and come in many different color options.  These are the pieces you might find in your favorite upscale childrens boutique.  These pieces, on a general note, cost less than any of the other lines.  The are perfect for every day wear.  Not too big, and very comfortable for little ones.

2.  Items in my shop {Excluding Bridal Pieces} will not be listed unless ready to ship.  Let's face it, 2-3 weeks is just too long to wait for a headband.  This way, you will get your items faster and I won't get swallowed up in orders;)

3.  Vintage Luxe pieces, as well as crowns and romper "sets" will be available on a limited-basis only.  When I am going to release a new one of these pieces, I will first post it to my facebook page {www.facebook.com/rubyblueinc} with a pic, along with the number of pieces available.  Pieces will be first come first serve.  And for the most part, once they're gone, they're gone.  If they don't all sell on facebook, I will list the remaining items in my etsy shop, where they will be first come first serve once again.  This gives me an opportunity to keep my items new and "Fresh, funky and FABULOUS!"  and it gives you the opportunity to purchase original pieces for your little ones photos.

4.  I am going to limit special orders to existing customers only.  This DOES NOT mean that I'm not thrilled to death to have new customers, this just means that I have had the chance to develop relationships with customers that keep my creative juices flowing, so much so, that I really can't take on any more or I will never be able to release anything new.  If you have placed a custom order in the past, then I will be willing to take more of them in the future.  From time to time I will be open to custom orders, and at that time I will post the invite on my facebook page.  I would, of course, love to hear your wants and suggestions for products that you would like to see.  Feel free to post them on my facebook wall, sent them to me in an email {rubyblueinc@gmail.com} or convo me through my etsy shop.  Your feedback is very important to me. :)

So lets give these new things a try and see how they work for us, shall we?  As I said before, your feedback is always appreciated:)  Thanks to all you rockin' fans. You guys are the best!!!

I {HEART} COLOR!

If there's one thing we love around here is lots and lots of fun bright colors.  The more the merrier, I say!  I get lots of inquiries about how I come up with my color schemes.  Well, honestly, its usually because I saw them together somewhere.  Maybe on a lady's dress, maybe in a stack of pillows at west elm, maybe in my laundry, maybe in the melt-y pile of skittles in my kids hands ...  I really see inspiration everywhere.  However, if you are just started designing and haven't really developed a keen eye for color coordination, here are a few helps;

#1- The color wheel.  I use the color wheel ALOT!  I like to combine opposite colors.  What are opposite colors you might ask?  They are colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel.  For example, red and turquoise, or fuchsia pink and lime green....  If you don't have a copy of the color wheel, you should down load this pic and print it off right now! :)

#2- How about cheating on the creativity side of things and take a look at these plans all laid out for you?  I found the website Design Seeds when I was trying to pic colors for my logo.  I was in design heaven when I found this one.  Sooooo many different beautiful color combinations that all compliment each other perfectly!!

The color palette I ended up choosing was inspired by a picture that I found on Pinterest.  Here it is;
......and speaking of pinterest, that is another stellar place to look at color combinations.  I could look at color palettes all day long on pinterest.  I rarely allow myself to log in because my brain goes into creative overload!
 Follow me:)  ellabalu.

Hope this helps some of you who are having "creators block".  I would love to hear what you think!

I'm "Just SO EXCITED!" :)

So I'm sitting in the bath tub typing this entry on my
iPhone. After all, being a mommy of four littles doesn't leave much quiet time (which is a good thing:). After your mind goes a million miles an hour each day, you gotta have some time to unwind! There are few things I find more relaxing than this. Anyway, as I sit here thinking through all of the business and hard work, I have to say, I am "just so excited!!!". There are so many fun new adventures in store for Ruby Blue 2012. I hope that you will continue to join me for lots of fun and unpredictable surprises as this year unfolds.

I look forward to replenishing the boutique line, which will feature in multiple various retail locations, as well as new seasonal releases. Oh but wait, it doesn't stop there!!! No, NO! I will be expanding on a project that I began last fall.... If you are waiting to say "I do!" you are gonna love this one. :) And what about those of us that all ready did? Well, let's just say there's something for you too, my friend. Then one last big suprise. I'm not going to let the cat out of the bag just yet, but let's just say that I've always had a passion for fashion. But that is going to have to wait until the gold ole summertime. For now, sit back and relax, and Enjoy the show!!!
